FlexSim 2017 Update 1: More VR, Improved Ease of Use
FlexSim 2017 Update 1 is now officially out and ready for download! Head over to the Downloads section of your account to get the software now. (Don’t have a FlexSim account? Sign up for free here!)
This update to FlexSim 2017 takes FlexSim’s virtual reality capabilities to the next level. It starts with the Oculus Touch hand controllers. With their natural gestures and finger movements, this technology will let you experience a FlexSim model like never before. The feature video (below) shows someone lifting, dropping, pressing, pulling, and pushing to interact with an actively running simulation. We’re excited to see what our users come up with – the possibilities are endless!
We’ve also expanded our VR support to include OpenVR and HTC Vive, meaning FlexSim is now compatible with the vast majority of virtual reality hardware used in the PC market. This update also includes expanded ease-of-use features to save time building simulation models, improvements to SQL in FlexSim, and much more.
Remember that the Express version of FlexSim 2017 Update 1 is always available for free. If you’d like more details on the release, check out this informative guide on what’s new and why it matters.
