Support Plan for 32-bit and 64-bit Operating Systems
Beginning with FlexSim 2021, we will no longer be releasing 32-bit versions of FlexSim. FlexSim’s system requirements will include using a 64-bit Windows operating system.
Why are we making this change now? The primary reason for this change is to improve the quality of our software and maintain an exceptional user experience. By focusing our efforts completely on 64-bit support, FlexSim will be better-tested and more stable than ever before.
NVIDIA and AMD both stopped releasing 32-bit graphics drivers in 2018—these increasingly out-of-date drivers could negatively impact FlexSim’s visual experience on 32-bit systems. FlexSim also utilizes 3rd party libraries from companies like Oculus, Trimble, NVIDIA, and others to enable some of our product features, and many of these libraries are no longer supporting 32-bit systems.
